TRON（トロン）は、坂村健教授が提唱した日本独自のOS開発プロジェクトで、どこでもコンピュータというビジョンを目指しました。B-TRONはパソコン用のOSで、マウス操作やネットワーク機能を実現し、学校教育へのコンピュータ導入にも貢献しました。 トロンとは、日本発の新しいコンピュータ・アーキテクチャーとして、cpuやos、作業環境などを含めた総合的なコンピューターシステムの標準化を目指すプロジェクトの名称である。1984年に東京大学の坂村健氏を中心として開始された。トロンでは、日常生活で触れる機器や設備に超小型の Tron: Directed by Steven Lisberger.
